Position: Consumer Healthcare Advocate

Organization: Plastipak Packaging, Inc

Location: Plymouth, MI

Position Description: 

▪    Analysis of claim reports and direct partnership with medical providers and consultants to identify high cost areas and/or trends that need to be addressed to try to impact plan claim costs.

▪    Development of an education program for associates that teaches them about their benefit plan and how to manage it with the tools available to them.

▪    Supervises and/or conducts on-site training with associates in the use of Aetna Navigator & other Internet tools to investigate and understand their own claim situations and potential cost of care while tracking usage/progress.

▪    Development and implementation of wellness programs and wellness challenges, as well as coordination/support of Benefit Fairs at all sites.

▪    Training & education with the various Talent Management Departments to be advocates of our benefit plan, with primary focus being on consumerism and wellness.

▪    Work with the health plan carriers/TPAs and our Healthcare Consultants to utilize the programs we have in place like Case Management, Disease Management, Maternity Management, etc. Develop incentives to encourage participation and track participation/cost savings.

▪    Performs other duties as assigned.
