Position: Director of Compensation and Benefits Organization: Thomson Reuters Location: Ann Arbor, MI Position Description: This role leads a team of compensation, reward and HRIS professionals responsible for global compensation and benefits, pension, reward policies and remuneration practices and programs in line with business needs. This position will also contribute actively and be a key member of the HR leadership team, advising on the generic HR strategy and people calendar. Initially the incumbent will be responsible for establishing standalone programs for newly divested company. Salary Range: Competitive Key Responsibilities: Director of Compensation and Benefits - responsibilities/accountabilities: Development and implementation of the reward strategy to include, retirement plan arrangements, Health and Welfare benefits management , salary benchmarking, annual compensation events such as bonus and salary review and supporting HR systems Selection and management of health and welfare providers and 3rd party vendors Business expert in all matters relating to compensation and benefits, advising senior managers and the HR team on all issues. The role holder may be expected to be the Trustee of several benefits arrangements (Pensions, Life Assurance and Healthcare) Total responsibility for salary reviews to ensure relevant market benchmarking and consistency of application. This will include liaising with 3rd party suppliers. Up to date market knowledge will also include current tax implications particularly in relation to benefits and pay. Design and implement appropriate and intuitive schemes as requires STI, DCP, SIP
Required Knowledge Experience: Minimum 10 years rewards experience, in both operating division and global standalone or corporate environment Highly commercial and able to align reward policy to business objectives Experience of managing a team of people Excellent project management skills A very high degree of analytical skills Generic knowledge of immigration, expatriate taxation and mobility practices.
