April 2017 Lunch Meeting

Presentation:  #HROS: Open Source Comes to HR

#HROS (HR Open Source) was launched by a single question. What if we defied conventional “war for talent” wisdom and embraced a new view of collaboration to drive education, inspiration, and capabilities in the evolving field of HR? A year after its launch, this global volunteer movement has seen nearly 3,000 practitioners across 50 countries come together to share exactly what their people leaders are building, what’s working, and most importantly what isn’t. From emerging trend case studies to downloadable templates, this interactive session will incorporate learnings from a broad range of HR and Recruiting practitioners, delivering actionable examples to educate and inspire your work.

Presented by: Ambrosia Vertesi, VP of People at Duo Security, Co-founder of #HROS

Ambrosia is currently the global VP of People at Duo Security. She was most recently VP of Talent at Hootsuite, where she spearheaded the company’s hyper growth from twenty to a thousand employees while receiving several top employer recognitions. Ambrosia is also the co-founder of HR Open Source (#HROS), a not-for-profit initiative which empowers HR practitioners through a global peer-to-peer collaboration community. An industry leader in fostering innovative social HR and employer branding, she most recently keynoted at Linkedin Talent Connect and HR Tech World Conference. This year she will be taking stage at HR Tech Fest, HRMA, SHRM Annual, and ERE to share learnings. She is a member of Forbes HR Council and recognized as one of the “Top 17 Influencers of 2017” in employer branding. Committed to fostering innovation in the workplace through technology and emerging practices like social HR, you can connect with her on Twitter @hambrody.
