GAASHRM September Morning Workshop

Creating a Mindset for Change and Agility

A 90 minute interactive facilitated session with engaging video to create a powerful experience for participants.

The marketplace is changing dramatically and dynamically. Few industries and individuals will be exempt.  We can’t avoid it, and it’s fatal to ignore it. But fear and avoidance is no way to address change. We have to find and create positive outcomes going forward.

That’s why Laura Goodrich is so refreshing…and effective. Her message can be startling and difficult to hear but her approach is compelling, hopeful and inspirational at the same time. While many strike fear into audiences about problems impacting the changing business landscape, Laura offers real-world solutions with positive impact…in a refreshing and inspiring way.

When it comes to change, most leaders and organizations focus on systems, processes and procedures.  Few even recognize that without an individual and collective Mindset for Change and Innovation beginning with their leaders their best efforts will fail, especially now.

This interactive and experiential session will show what is really getting in the way, how an intentional focus on what you want rather than on what you are trying to avoid turns insight into actions and actions into breakthrough outcomes.  She'll explain how this focus can benefit you, why we unconsciously focus on negative thoughts and how we can rewire our brains to focus on positive outcomes so that we can steer toward opportunities and away from the threats that a world in transformation will bring.

This session will not be another positive "attitude" session, it will be a session that delves into our natural instincts to focus on what we fear and are trying to avoid. Once people understand this concept, their awareness of intentional and clear focus on what they do want becomes very powerful. Laura will demonstrate simple tools to help turn you and your team's focus around and provide stories of how organizations have implemented this successful mindset. Leaders will walk away with a completed toolkit and a clear method of how to create a Mindset for Change for themselves and their team.
